Some days feel like an endless downpour. You know the kind, the rain pounds against the windows, puddles form everywhere and no matter how much you try to keep thins dry, the dampness seeps in.

And if you have ever tried to do laundry on a day like that, you will know the frustration. You hang your clothes out, hoping for a break in the weather, but the rain keeps falling. The washing stays heavy, dripping refusing to dry.

That is how feeling stuck in life can be. You are putting in the effort, hanging everything out there, hoping for a shift. But the weight just will not lift.

THE WAITING SEASON

In seasons like this, it is easy to feel forgotten, as if nothing is moving forward. But here is something to remember: rain is necessary. It cleanses, it nourishes, it prepares the ground for new growth.

Maybe, just maybe, this season of waiting is not about the delay, it is about preparation. God often works in ways we do not understand, clearing away what no longer serves us, making space for something better.

LETTING THE PROCESS WORK

When we feel stuck, the temptation is to force things, to try and rush the process. But just like clothes will not dry in the rain, no matter how many times you shake them, some things in life need time.

Instead of resisting ask yourself:

  • What is this season trying to teach me?
  • Where is God working, even if I can’t see it
  • What small steps can I take while I wait?

Maybe the goal is not to escape the rain, but to learn to embrace it. To trust that when the sun finally comes out, you will be refreshed, lighter and ready for what is next.

So, remember if you are feeling stuck, the rain won’t last forever. When it clears, you will find that the waiting was not wasted. It was preparing you for something greater.
