Kids are fascinated by bunnies. The soft fur, the quick jumps, the adorable ears twitching in every direction. But if you have evert tried to catch a bunny, you know how tricky it can be. They are fast, cautious and always ready to hop away.

Life is a lot like that. The good moments, the joy even our dreams, can feel just out of reach. How do we try to catch them? With stress and frustration? Or with patience and trust?

LIFE LESSONS FROM A BUNNY

  1. BE GENTLE BUT STRONG

Bunnies look small and fragile, but they are incredibly quick and smart. Likewise, we can learn to be kind and compassionate while still holding onto our inner strength during difficult times.

2. PATIENCE BRINGS REWARDS

A Bunny will not come to you if you chase it. But if you sit quietly and wait, it may come closer. In life, we often push too hard for answers. Sometimes we just need to trust that things will unfold in God’s perfect timing.

3. FIND JOY IN THE SMALL THINGS

Kids get so excited over the tiniest details. A bunny’s wiggly nose, its soft paws, the way it hops. How often do we pause to appreciate the simple joys of life? The warmth of the sun, a kind word or a moment of laughter?

4. LET GO AND TRUST

Psalm 46:10 says, ” Be still and know that I am God.” We often try too hard to control everything. But like a bunny that will not be caught, some things in life are meant to be released. When we stop forcing and start trusting, we often find that what is meant for us comes naturally.

Next time you see a child chasing a bunny, remember not everything in life needs to be chased. Sometimes the best things come when we slow down, enjoy what we have and trust that what is meant for us will come at the right time.

What is one thing you can let go of toady and place in God’s hands?
